In recent years, and thanks to some incredible council-led, government-funded, and private company initiatives, Sheffield and the wider South Yorkshire region* have seen investment skyrocket. Our startups have the highest success rates in the country, and the city is quickly becoming regarded as a hub of innovation.

What does this mean for you?

It means that right now, South Yorkshire is a really competitive place to be. There are a lot of companies vying for the same investment - and whilst many companies rely on grant funding, investment is inevitably a huge part of the journey too. Whether you’re embarking on angel and venture investment, or utilising the services of an investor platform, it’s important to assure investors that you have the values, potential, and USP - as well as being able to validate your standing as a company in your own right.

Developing your data room

Your data room signifies that you have the productivity, structure, team and values to move from the ideation to the realisation phase of your company. This inspires confidence in your investors, and helps you to develop positive and long-lasting relationships with them. You may even choose to involve potential investors in this part of your development - we can assist with workshopping this to ensure the relationships you build are mutually beneficial.

What can you expect from Vika?

Initial one day consultation

We’ll establish the current financial status of the company, including outstanding debts, financial obligations and current investment. We’ll then look at the types of investment best suited to your business, as well as workshopping the short and long term goals of you and your company.

Investment readiness coordination

We’ll follow up with a proposal, tailored to your goals, timeline and proposed investors. This will include the necessary steps required for investment readiness, including the expected workload and milestone responsibilities of Vika, yourselves, and any external parties.

The end goal of this will be a pitch deck featuring your minimum viable product and market value proposition. This will be supported by a comprehensive data room. Below are some examples of what you can expect to see:

  • Workshopping to establish company goals, objectives, and messaging, including the development of a missions and values statement.

  • Financial forecasting & obtainable market mapping

  • Support with branding and design

  • Pitch deck development

  • Market research and data analysis proposal

Other documentation not listed above may be required, dependent on the nature, size, and investment stage of your company. Where necessary, you might be advised to work with key specialists, for example in market research and data analysis.
